HP Install software fails to complete the process. Using work around suggested on HP forums, can install to the point of 'updating the driver. Using Windows 10 Device Manager for update of driver, only the NULL printer driver will install. All other drivers cause the entire record of the printer to be erased from the Devices List. At present my printer is shown in the device list and the properties pages indicate a 'working device which cannot be used'. MicroSoft sends an update to install a NULL Printer but it fails with error code 0x800f020b. Windows 10 does not 'trust the printer' as a LAN device and I suppose Windows 10 also does not trust the HP driver software. This problem appears on a DELL xps 8900, an HP ENVY 700, an HP Pavilion 23 AIO and a Toshiba Satellite all running various builds of the Tech Preview/Insider Preview builds of Windows 10. I have spent four sessions with HP Tech Support and two sessions with Microsoft Tech Support with no resolution forthcoming.
Attempting a similar install of an Officejet Pro 8620 using HP software leads to a similar FAILURE. However, Apple almost immediately placed an update to OSX.11 {El Capitan} specifically for the Officejet Pro 8620. After the update was downloaded,installed and my computer rebooted. The printer informed me of 'being available for printing' by spitting a test page into the out tray area.
Does anyone have a solution that will allow me to use an Officejet Pro 8620 as a wireless LAN printer from a Windows 10 computer?

I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue. And check if it helps.
Method 1: Provide the automated troubleshooter and check. Refer to these steps:
a) Press Windows key + X, select control panel.
b) Click on 'View devices and printers'.
c) Right click on Fax and select troubleshoot.
Method 2:
Uninstall and Reinstall the scanner's Driver.
Step 1: Uninstall the scanner's Drivers.
a. Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
c. Search for the scanner' from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted. After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.
Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:
Step 2: Go to the Computer or scanner manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

Method 3: Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.
a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.
c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the
installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
